About me
Paulouskaya Yana,
an English tutor
Hello! My name is Yana, and I am a passionate young teacher with two years of experience and students from all over the world, from Russia to Spain and China.

I dream of helping hundreds of people feel confident and speak English naturally.

My lessons are designed to identify areas of weakness in a student's knowledge. I understand the frustration of learning a language for years without fully mastering it. Having gone through the same journey, I understand students' challenges and know how to address them effectively.

I am sure that it is possible to sound natural, confident, and "like a native speaker"! This is what inspires me to teach and learn day after day.
More about me
My principles in teaching
What I rely on when teaching and preparing for lessons
  • Science-based approach
Four years of psychology studies at the university and personal love for science have taught me a lot about learning. I always try to rely on scientifically-based methods, set achievable goals, and take how human psyche works into account
  • Motivation and inspiration
Learning English is a long and difficult process. It takes 730-1050 hours to reach C1! I make sure that my students don't miss classes or drop out. I also do my best to inspire them to actively engage in self-study
  • Review and repetition
Students need to see or hear a new word or phrase in context between 6 and 17 times before they really know it. I actively work or reviewing, not just expect students to learn everything on their own
  • Comfort and support
In my classes, I am always friendly and smiling. I support my students, highlight their strengths, and remind them that making mistakes is okay. My students say that even on bad days, they find peace in our classes
  • Convenience and interactivity
I use an interactive program called Edvibe (ProgressMe). It allows students to actively engage with their tasks while I can see their responses and provide support. Features like autocorrection, translation, and a dictionary, along with various types of tasks, make the lessons diverse and effective
  • Speaking and the use of English
As soon as the material is memorized, students start using it in real speech. I always include as much English as possible in my lessons. At B1 levels and above, the use of Russian is not necessary at all. I can teach a student from anywhere in the world
